Going It Alone

by: Jane Bwye

Going It Alone – A Beginners’ Guide to Starting Your Own Business.

A general step-by-step guide to keep beside you, which uses stories based on true experience to illustrate different scenarios. Most of it is just old-fashioned common sense, but when you start anything new, the common sense seems to go out of the window.

Jane lived in Kenya for over half a century, where she was an intermittent freelance journalist, business owner and teacher. Her first novel, Breath of Africa, was nominated for the Guardian First Book Award, 2013. It draws on her experiences growing up in the country she still calls her home. The novella, I Lift Up My Eyes, is set in Sussex. She has been a world traveller, buying a bird book in every country she visits. Now retired in the UK, she is a volunteer business start-up mentor, she gives talks, and indulges her love for playing bridge, judging dressage, and watching tennis.
