After many years juggling motherhood and a job in local government, Rosie Travers gave up work in 2009 to accompany her partner on an overseas assignment to California. With far too much time on her hands, she began a blog to keep in touch with family and friends back home, and warn others about the perils of ex-pat life. The blogging habit rekindled a teenage desire to become a writer, so when Rosie returned to the UK after three years of endless sunshine, pool parties and long, lazy lunches, she took a course in Creative Writing, intending to turn her US experiences in a book. Instead, she developed a love of writing fiction.
Rosie believes in the magic of story-telling. As an author she can make extra-ordinary things happen in ordinary places. Now settled back in the UK she takes inspiration from the towns and landscape of her native south coast, and enjoys writing heart-warming stories sprinkled with comedy, tragedy, mystery and romance.
