I grew up on Teesside. I enjoyed riding and reading and later spent most of my working life as a Personal Injury lawyer pursuing legal cases. When retirement came I kicked off the restraints of the law and discovered my real self. Or in simpler terms, I sat down at the laptop and started to write, little knowing where it would take me.
I write both historical (regency) and contemporary fiction. Using my love of Canada and enjoyment of horses I try to bring both to my books. Coming into the Romantic Novelists Association (RNA) under the New Writers Scheme I progressed to full membership when my first e-book, “Dangerous Entrapment,” was published, which was later shortlisted for Historical Novel of the Year 2016 by the RNA. I live happily on the North Yorkshire coast with my husband and spend my days enjoying life and writing. Long walks along the beach are definitely an advantage when working out a plot.
