Nik served in the Royal Navy for 23 years and has been writing for over 50 years. He’s had 120 short stories published, some winning awards: in action, adventure, romance, ghost, horror, sci-fi, western and crime genres. He has edited books and many magazines, chaired writers’ circles and run writing and screenplay workshops, and judged competitions. He was sub-editor of the Portsmouth Post 2003-2007 and Editor in Chief of Solstice Publishing (USA) 2011-2013.

He’s had 25 books published; the latest: Cataclysm, the third ‘Avenging Cat’ romantic crime thriller (Crooked Cat), a noir western Coffin for Cash (US publisher); and his co-authored fantasy novel To Be King, is due shortly. Reviewers recommend his guide Write a Western in 30 Days – with plenty of bullet points for writers of all genres, not just westerns.

Nik lives in Spain with his wife Jennifer; their daughter, son-in-law, grandson and granddaughter live nearby.
